National Cadets Corps (NCC) Director General, Lt. General Gurbirpal Singh arrived in Kerala, today (18 April) on a five day official visit. The DGNCC will visit various NCC Units, Group Headquarters, Training Centres across the Northern Districts of Kerala such as Kannur, Wayanad & Kozhikode. The Director General will interact with NCC cadets, Instructors, and local administrative staff and also motivate the cadets in their pursuit of holistic development and nation-building.
Following the engagements in the Northern region, the DGNCC will further interact with NCC Units in Thiruvananthapuram. A key highlight of this leg of the visit would be the scheduled meeting with the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala. The meeting is expected to focus on strengthening the role and presence of NCC in the state, exploring avenues for enhanced collaboration with the State Agencies thereby empowering the youth through NCC training.
The visit underscores the commitment of the NCC leadership to actively engage and foster a strong sense of camaraderie among the cadets as well as gaining firsthand insights for effective implementation of NCC’s objectives in nurturing disciplined and responsible citizens.
