In a bold step to reshape undergraduate education in India, the NAAC “A”-grade accredited Central University of Kerala (CUK) has unveiled three dynamic four-year honours programmes for the 2025–26 academic session. The courses are meticulously aligned with the transformative vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. These cutting-edge courses are: B.Sc. (Hons.) Biology with Research, B.Com. (Hons.) Financial Analytics, and B.C.A. (Hons.). These programmes promise to equip students with specialised skills for emerging global opportunities and dynamic market environment.
Designed to be flexible and future-focused, these programmes incorporate NEP’s multiple-entry and exit options, allowing students to earn a certificate after one year, a diploma after two, and a degree after three. Those completing the fourth year will receive an honours degree with research, enabling direct entry into Ph.D. programmes or a fast-tracked one-year postgraduate course.

CUK, established in 2009, is no stranger to NEP-aligned innovation. It already offers an Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) with combined degrees in science, arts, and commerce with education. Additionally, its Thiruvananthapuram Campus offers a four-year B.A. (Hons.) in International Relations.
