Vi also recently launched its 5Gservices in Kozhikode and Malappuram. This expansion is part of Vi’s ongoing 5G rolloutacross multiple cities, in its 17 priority circles, where it has acquired 5G spectrum.Earlier, Vi introduced 5G services in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Mysuru, Nagpur,Chandigarh, Patna, Jaipur, Sonipat, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Vadodara, ChhatrapatiSambhajinagar, Nashik, Meerut, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Vishakhapatnam, Madurai andAgra as part of its phased 5G expansion.

Vi users in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram with 5G-enabled devices can access Vi 5Gservices. As an introductory offer, Vi is providing unlimited 5G data to users on plans startingfrom ₹299. Customers can enjoy high-definition streaming, gaming, video conferencing,faster downloads, and real-time cloud access.

Vi has partnered with Ericsson in Kerala to deploy advanced, energy-efficient infrastructureand implemented AI-powered Self-Organizing Networks (SON) to automatically optimizenetwork performance.

In parallel with its 5G roll out, Vi has also significantly upgraded its 4G network in Kerala todeliver enhanced coverage, faster data speeds, and an overall superior user experience. Vialso launched 4G services in Lakshadweep islands in November last year. Since March2024, it has successfully deployed 900 MHz spectrum on over 1400 sites to strengthenindoor coverage, deployed 2100 MHz spectrum on 4300 sites, augmented capacity by layeraddition and expanded spectrum bandwidth enhancing both reach and data traffic handlingcapabilities. These upgrades implemented over 15 months from April 2024 to June 2025have led to a 22 percent capacity increase in Kerala and underscore Vi’s commitment to
delivering consistent and high-quality connectivity across urban and rural areas.
