Projects worth ₹2,789.08 crore have been implemented in 19 hospitals through the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB). So far, development projects worth over ₹10,000 crore have been carried out through KIIFB. Additionally, development works worth around ₹1,000 crore have been made possible through NABARD. Further developments have also been executed through Plan Funds and other funding sources.
Health Minister Veena George stated that these initiatives have enabled the construction of new buildings and the procurement of modern medical equipment.

Kundara Taluk Hospital – New building at ₹76.13 crore
Neendakara Taluk Hospital – Construction completed at ₹46.43 crore

Adoor General Hospital – ₹14.64 crore
Kozhencherry District Hospital – ₹30.35 crore
Konni Medical College – ₹50 crore (Administration Block, Academic Block, Hostel, Quarters)
Alappuzha District
Thuravoor Taluk Hospital – ₹51.4 crore
Chengannur District Hospital – ₹97.71 crore
Cherthala Taluk Hospital – ₹84.98 crore
Kottayam Medical College – Surgical Block at ₹279.15 crore

These projects significantly strengthen Kerala’s healthcare infrastructure by enhancing secondary and tertiary care facilities, expanding medical colleges, and improving access to advanced treatment facilities across the state.
