business100news/ kerala: With the objective of uplifting farmers and ensuring fair prices for agricultural products, the Agrifresh Farmers Society (AGRIFRESH FARMERS SOCIETY, ARUVAPPULAM) has begun its operations in Aruvappulam village.
The primary aim of the society is to directly procure agricultural produce from farmers and convert them into value-added products using modern technology, ensuring high quality before marketing them.
As a prelude to its future activities and industrial ventures, members of the Executive Committee visited the Agro Park at Piravom in Ernakulam district. Agro Park is a leading incubation center that has been functioning in the agri and food processing sector since 2014.
During the visit, the committee members conducted an in-depth study on the production of value-added products from agricultural crops, advanced food processing technologies, and nano and micro enterprises. The visiting team included K. R. Prasad, Geevarghese Samuel, Sunil Kumar S., Raju Mathew, Shaji Mohammed, and Suvi K. Vikram.
The office bearers of the society announced that a small-scale value-added product manufacturing unit will be launched at Aruvappulam at the earliest.
