business100news.com; Binu K. Thomas of Thuruthimadathil, Plantation Mukku, Ezhamkulam, has set a remarkable social example by donating his first-earned house and property—worth approximately ₹1 crore—to serve as a shelter for the destitute and the homeless.

In 2006, Binu began his career in Dubai as an employee at a hookah shop. Through dedication and hard work, he earned the trust of the owner and steadily rose to the positions of accountant and later general manager.

In 2008, with his hard-earned income, Binu purchased 70 cents of land and a two-storey house at Elikkattoor in Pathanapuram. Those days, spent in that home with his father Thomas, a retired army personnel, his mother Elikutty, a retired government nurse, and his younger siblings who were still pursuing their studies, remain some of the happiest memories of his life.

Years later, that young man has grown into a successful entrepreneur and is now the founder and leader of the TLS Group of Logistics, which has expanded across Dubai, Bahrain, and India. As his brothers, Robin K. Thomas and Bijo K. Thomas, joined him as business partners, the family settled permanently in different countries after acquiring citizenship.

Though many approached him over the years with offers to purchase the property, Binu never agreed to sell it. Instead, moved by the thought that the house was lying unused, he decided to transform it into a peaceful shelter for those in need. He returned to Kerala, studied and evaluated several organizations, and finally entrusted the responsibility to the Adoor Mahatma Janaseva Kendram.

At his own expense, Binu donated the land and building to the old age home without any conditions and also bore the full cost of renovating the building. His noble initiative received wholehearted support from his wife Linchu, son Juan, and daughter Jasli.

In the presence of Kerala’s Minister for Transport, K.B. Ganesh Kumar, Binu K. Thomas will formally hand over the deed and keys. The housewarming ceremony of the renovated building, now capable of accommodating 25 inmates, will take place on January 5 at 11 a.m.

Pathanapuram Block Panchayat President Ajith Krishna, Piravanthur Grama Panchayat President Sherly Gopinath, television anchor and speaker Hari Pathanapuram, Ward Member Anil S., Member Krishnakumari, and others will attend the event, informed Rajesh Thiruvalla, Chairman of Mahatma Janaseva Kendram.
