Income Tax Department, under its commitment to assist the Election Commission of India in curbing the role of black money in elections, encourages the residents to contribute to the process of ensuring clean and fair upcoming Legislative Assembly Elections, Kerala, to be held in 2026.
During the period of the Model Code of Conduct, the Directorate of Income Tax (Investigation), Kerala, will maintain strict vigil on the movement of unaccounted cash, bullion, precious metals and other valuables that are likely or suspected to be used for electoral purposes within the State.
As part of these measures, a 24×7 Control Room has been established at the following address:

Residents and citizens may contact the Toll-Free Number at any time during the Model Code of Conduct. Informants are not required to disclose personal details such as name or identity. However, it is essential that the information shared is credible and actionable.
The Control Room will remain functional from the date of announcement of the Kerala Legislative Assembly Elections, 2026, until the completion of the election process. In the spirit of strengthening democratic values and ensuring clean elections, citizens are encouraged to actively participate by sharing relevant information with the Directorate. The identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential.
