The kerala Forest Department has announced an opportunity for individuals to declare possession of wildlife trophies and articles covered under Schedule I of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972.
Those who possess any wildlife animal, wildlife article, or wildlife trophy listed under Schedule I — including preserved or dried skins collected from such animals — may disclose the details using Form 13. However, musk from the musk deer and horns of the rhinoceros are excluded from this provision.
Applications must be submitted within 45 days from March 4, 2026, to the concerned Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) or Wildlife Warden.
