Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple. President Droupadi Murmu, the second serving President of India and the first woman head of state, made history by offering prayers at the Sabarimala Temple in Kerala on October 22, 2025. At Pampa Ganapathi Temple, she participated in the sacred Irumudi Kettu ceremony, where the traditional pilgrim’s bundle was tied. Dressed in black attire and barefoot, Droupadi Murmu ascended the 18 sacred steps (Pathinettampadi) at Sannidhanam to offer prayers to Lord Ayyappa.
