Drivers using Kerala Savari, the state government’s online taxi platform, have collectively earned ₹27.58 crore by completing over 1,136,000 successful trips so far. The platform operates strictly on government-approved auto and taxi fares, with no additional charges or surge pricing. As Kerala Savari does not collect any commission, drivers receive 100% of their earnings from each trip.
Launched in November 2025 under the Department of Labour, the project has onboarded more than 25,000 drivers across the state. Currently, over 5,000 active taxi drivers are operating through the platform in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, and Thrissur districts, including more than ten women drivers.
Kerala Savari is gaining popularity by ensuring transparent and fair pricing, while also providing a safe and reliable service to passengers. The Kerala Savari web portal and mobile application together have 429,000 registered users.
As the next phase, Kerala Savari is moving forward with plans to provide comprehensive training for drivers in collaboration with the police. There are also plans to integrate the Kerala Savari app with the Kerala Police’s Pol app, further strengthening passenger safety.
The government aims to expand Kerala Savari across the state, creating more employment opportunities and ensuring a safe, affordable, and transparent taxi service for the public.
