The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has announced the launch of the electronic visa (e-visa) service for Kuwaiti citizens, starting today
Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, Dr. Adarsh Swaika, stated during a press conference that this step marks a significant milestone in facilitating travel procedures and strengthening Kuwait–India relations.
Dr. Swaika added that the service is fully available through the embassy’s website (http://indianvisaonline.gov.in) without the need to visit Indian visa application centers. The e-visa covers several categories, including business, tourism, and the AYUSH-Yoga medical visa.
He explained that the new tourist visa is valid for five years, the business visa for up to one year, the medical visa for up to 60 days, and the conference visa for 30 days.
He noted that the service costs between $40 and $80 depending on the visa duration, and that the required documents are listed on the designated website. Application processing takes approximately three to four days.
The ambassador confirmed that the Indian Consulate in Kuwait will continue to accept paper visa applications as before, and added that biometric fingerprints will be collected at various airports in India for arriving Kuwaiti nationals
